Dev Pro Maintenance

Maintenance guide and replacement parts for FixturFab Dev Pro test fixtures. 3D printable components and service information.

The Dev Pro test fixture consists of 3D-printed, laser-cut, and CNC-machined components. This guide covers maintenance procedures and replacement parts.

Replacement Parts#

Replacement parts are available through the Dev Pro Store.

3D Printed Components#

The following components can be 3D printed as replacements. All parts use PETG material with consistent print settings.

Accessing Print Files#

3MF files for all printable components are available via Google Drive. Contact FixturFab support for access to current file versions.

These files enable:

  • Local printing on your own 3D printer
  • Ordering from third-party print services
  • Custom modifications for special applications

Maintenance Schedule#

Daily#

  • Visual inspection of moving components
  • Check for debris in probe plate area
  • Verify smooth fixture closure

Weekly#

  • Inspect probe condition
  • Check latch mechanism operation
  • Verify guide pin engagement

Monthly#

  • Lubricate linear bearings if binding occurs
  • Inspect 3D printed components for wear or cracking
  • Check all fastener tightness

As Needed#

  • Replace worn probes
  • Replace damaged 3D printed components
  • Service or replace bearings

Common Maintenance Tasks#

Replacing Probes#

  1. Open fixture and remove cartridge
  2. Locate worn probe
  3. Extract old probe from receptacle
  4. Insert replacement probe
  5. Verify probe travel and contact

Replacing 3D Printed Parts#

  1. Print replacement using specifications above
  2. Remove fasteners from worn component
  3. Install new component
  4. Verify fit and operation

Cleaning#

  • Remove dust and debris from probe plate regularly
  • Clean guide pins with isopropyl alcohol
  • Avoid lubricants on probe contact surfaces
